Of course just because a key is on the board doesn't mean you can win it. But seeing as I don't think they officially announced the frequency in the live announcement, i guess there's no reason they'd have to tell us if they reduced it. On beta it went from being on every board to on one in three when they gave us more currency to being on one in two at the end of the event. So 50% for a key to be on the board is plausible. Now, toss in the fact that some of the boards may not even have keys on them…you’ve gotta be kidding me!Ĭlick to expand. It seemed lower than 50% the first day when I checked my worlds. So, am I supposed to try to hit “shuffle” on this board and hope that the next one has a key on it? With the number of doubloons we get each day, it is hard enough to complete the calendar even if we completely ignore the daily specials. Then tonight I took the time to look over the board before clicking on “start” and made a rather troubling discovery: There is no key on this board! (See screen shot attached below.) I chalked it up as a strike of bad luck and never gave it another thought, especially since I landed on the key fairly easily yesterday. On the first day of the event I spent all the doubloons I had gathered, got two daily specials, but never saw the key even though I pursue the final board (after one shuffle) until there were only two or three hidden tiles left and the board got shuffled again. Well, so far it is not looking easier at all! This time around, I decided to give it a try because the skull cave looks really appealing-and because people who tried it on Beta told me it was a little easier to complete than the calendar last winter. During the winter event last year, I gave up on the calendar pretty early on because it was rather clear that it would be impossible to complete with the number of stars we got.
